The blast blew Uzeltes and Faznir back. Bernaz caught them with her telekinetic field, her eyes fixed on the Calamity. Its head was shrouded in smoke, its horns shattered, and its arms hung limp.
Yet, the beast shook its head, trying to clear the haze. A shadow carrying twin blades streaked toward its throat.
As she flew, Amnez remembered: the back of the leader who shielded the people. Blood-soaked and indifferent to his own wounds, he had been the perfect embodiment of a Saint.
(…Forgive me.)
Shaking off the memory, Amnez kicked the air. Her twin blades whirred at high speed, carving deep into the creature’s throat. Ink-black blood erupted.

Light faded from the beast’s eyes. Battered by the mauls, scorched by its own detonated heat ray, and finally torn by Amnez’s blades, the titan’s legendary endurance reached its limit. Gravity took hold, and its massive frame began to plummet toward the sea.
Amnez yanked her blades free and turned to retreat. In that heartbeat, the creature’s five fingers snapped shut, engulfing her entire body.
“Ghh… nngh…!” The strength was terrifying for a dying beast. Amnez pushed back with her remaining telekinesis, but her mana was bone-dry. Her skeleton creaked under the pressure. It was a stalemate of raw power; if she spared even a thought to maneuver her blades, she would be crushed instantly.
The fall continued. If they hit the ocean like this, she wouldn’t survive. (I can’t escape. But if I can just trigger the saws before I’m crushed—!) Just as she prepared for a desperate, suicidal gamble—a familiar silver gun soared through the air.
The red gem embedded in the gun glowed with a final, defiant light before the muzzle erupted, blasting the beast’s hand. The grip loosened just enough.
Amnez wrenched herself free with her last shred of strength. The Elzenag struck the water, sending a gargantuan pillar of spray into the sky.
“…My Lord?”
Amnez whispered, her voice trembling. She saw it then—not the beast, but the fading glimmer of the woman who had once stood for them all.
The dark sea swallowed the shadow of the titan. And as if to follow its master into the eternal quiet, the silver gun sank slowly, disappearing into the lightless depths.
