Deep within the miasma of the remote wetlands, a monstrous beast awakened from its slumber, fueled by a searing, ancient rage.
His name was Girelgal.

There was a time when he lived for the carnage—trampling homes and turning the world into a sea of fire. He believed himself invincible, until the day he crossed paths with the Holy Queen and her legion.
Distracted by the gnats—the human soldiers—the beast had left himself open. In that heartbeat of a mistake, a colossal blast from the Queen’s cannon had torn through the sky and struck home. The wound was deep, carving a jagged scar from his shoulder to his chest.
Bleeding fire and desperation, Guirelgal had plunged into the ocean, fleeing until he reached these marshes. By then, his strength was spent. An attack imbued with a Maiden’s power clogs the natural regeneration of a monster; the only way to heal was to fall into a deep, eon-long sleep.
Now, Guirelgal rose once more, feeling the dark surge of power returning to his limbs. To the west, a sprawling city shimmered on the horizon. There would be humans there—plenty of them to burn.
With a roar that ignited the very air, the beast resumed its march of vengeance, turning the earth into a wasteland of flame.
